Forest Hills Station (second) opens.

May 2, 1987

Architect: Cambridge Seven Associates. [Mason & Fry-Southworth] Built of glass and tubular steel with a 130- foot-tall clock tower, it is located near 3700 Washington Street. Groundbreaking for the project was held on June 1, 1984. The first elevated train out of the new terminal leaves at 5:16 am Monday morning, May 4, 1987.
